MASON - The Seventh Annual Mason Farmers Market will begin July 9 and run through Oct. 1.
The Saturday markets will be open around Courthouse Square in the downtown area.
The Mason Farmers Market Association has requested the closure of the center portion of the 100 block of East Maple Street between 6 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
Fruits, vegetables, flowers, baked goods and other items have been the mainstay of past Mason markets.
The market will be extended until 4 p.m. Sept. 17 during Down Home Days.
As is the case every year, there is free space for community organizations to publicize their programs every week.
Interested organizations may contact Elaine Ferris, president of the Mason Farmers Market Association, at 417 W. Sycamore St.
