MASON - Volunteers are needed this spring for the Upper Grand River Adopt-A-Stream program.
Work in teams to collect samples from the river and identify the types of aquatic organisms found there.
Children 12 and up are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Volunteers are needed for Collection Day from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 7. Volunteers must first attend one training session: 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Dahlem Center in Jackson or from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at the Ingham Conservation District in Vevay Township.
