MASON — The Mason Area Historical Society is looking for your Mason school day memories.
The society is collecting stories of Mason schools and the one-room schools that were incorporated into the Mason district. The society plans to publish them in a book to be available this fall.
This can be an opportunity to pay tribute to a favorite teacher or to remember a bus driver or custodian. Maybe you were a junior crossing guard or there was a class project you were especially proud of. Maybe you went to the Pink School or one of the other one-room schools.
Stories can be brief, but no more than 300 words. Photos are welcome. You can write your story yourself or you can tell it to a committee member who will record it and then write it for your approval. You can send it to the society online or in the mail.
For more information or to arrange an appointment, call Shirley Renwick at (517) 676-5314 or Shirley Beckman at (517) 676-5698.
