Notice of Public Hearing

The City of Mason will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, Monday May 7, 2012, int he Council Chamber of City Hall, 201 W. Ash Street, on the proposed 2012 City tax levy and the proposed 2012/2013 City Budget.  Copies of the proposed budget are available for public inspection during regular business hours in the City Clerk's office.

THE PROPERTY TAX MILLAGE RATE PROPOSED TO BE LEVIED TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSED BUDGET WILL BE A SUBJECT OF THIS HEARING.

The property tax millage proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.  In order to fund the city's proposed 2012/2013 Budget and to maintain essential City services, the City Council finds it necessary to levy a millage rate of 13.25.  This is the same amount of mills as the 2011 tax levy.  Public comments, oral or written, are welcome at the hearing.
